Ok its 6:00 AM and I pulled a all nighter, so.......

#1. I deleted Steam from add & remove software & then deleted all files for steam in { windows explorer }.

#2. Then went to start/run and typed regedit { dont do this unless YOU know what your doing. Then I did a find for Steam then deleted all entry's of steam.

#3. rebooted, then I went to the Steam site and downloaded the lill installer like umm 400Kbs. I then let it install and downloaded the CS:S ONLY the clicked run game when finished.

#4. I smoked about 5 cigs then came back and the main screen was up and I did the benchmark or stress test and got 130FPS so I guess im set.

I hope this will help someone, I just didnt wonna give up till I saw the new engine at work. See everyone in the game. Im off to bed.

don't work for me i still have to launch cs 1.6 and then source can work ... and if i close 1.6 source shutdown

just follow those steps to the letter trust me it works.

I just went to the properties and deleted CS:S, re-DL'd it and it works fine now.
