this is how you make sprays work

go to your steam\steamapps\email\counter strike source beta\cstrike folder, and make a folder called "downloads". this has probably been posted before but. who cares.

edit: others cant see it unless they have a downloads folder.

then you arent doing it right. its "downloads" not download.

I thought the servers had to enable sprays. I joined one and I could see my spray and so could another guy.

So hah.

I see a spray, but I can't use a custom one.

Ok, now I have my custom spray in my list, but when I spray I don't see it, I see the kilroy spray.

My sprays stopped showing up in the list about 10 minutes after the beta was unlocked to CZ users. I had them working and then... BAM... they're gone the next time I look in the menu.

UPDATE: I fixed my problem. I deleted the ClientRegistry.blob file and they're back!

The problem I was talking about was the same as yours. Apparently, something that we accidentally did told CS:S not to ever access anything in the "counter-strike source beta" folder. I don't know what it was, but deleting that file makes Steam forget it.
