Sorry for the repeat of probably what you lot have already discussed (joined quite recently), but I'd like to ask you lot, what is "Missing Information"?
From what I can gather it SEEMS to be a Fan-made version of HL2 with characters in it. Am I correct? Or is it a proper version beta of what could be HL3?

Nonono, Missing Information is what was the Beta of HL2 (the creators of MI used concept art and beta footage to model after the real life beta of HL2)

Missing Information is a mod that contains content from the leaked development version of Half-life 2 that was shown at E3 in 2003.

Used to be pretty taboo to talk about around here until Valve said it was okay to use said content in mods.

Yeah the guy who made it went to jail, there is a big story about it but it is old, look it up on you tube

The guy who leaked the HL2 beta went to jail. That was different. This is a mod that recreates content that was cut from the final release of HL2. It's not illegal.

The german guy that leaked an early version of the source engine, NOT the game, is in jail, and had nothing to do with mi. Missing information is an extremely half assed mod (the maker was too lazy to put ammo drops, healtkits) and frankly isn't worth playing through.

Ie downloaded it and played it and it crashes when you get on the sub. All the rest of the maps are from E3 or (game play) trailers and mostly the mod crashes.

Yes the mod kinda sucked, and its uninstaller didn't completely remove it.

Not sure if anyone would know this, but is that guy still in jail? That would be bizarre. And actually, I never even realized he went to jail -- seems like it'd just be a fine.

He's not in a jail anymore.
