Nineties rapper MC Hammer is set to launch his own internet search engine.

The engine is called WireDoo and MC Hammer – real name Stanley Burrell – has spent the past two years developing the project with his team.

Burrell made the announcement at the San Francisco Web 2.0 summit yesterday (October 19). The project is still being developed and in the pre-beta stages. He added that WireDoo will be better than market leader Google because it will offer a ‘deep search’ ability, reports CNN.

Have to admit I only knew that because in The Simpsons episode "Behind The Laughter" Homer buys the Hammertime mansion from a bankrupt MC Hammmer.

I knew it because he was in some kind of this insurance commercial.
