I have been searching up and down for a monitor that I hope will deliver visual performance. I have been researching into TFTs for the past week or so, and I stumbled across the one below.

From what I gather, the specs seem to be adequate, but before my parents buy it, I need to know if the maximum resolution is the native resolution (the only thing I couldn't find out). If so I am going to have to play some games at that resoultion on my CRT to see if my 6600GT can cope. :P

I have a widescreen, they're awesome but the only annoying thing is a lot of the old games (like ut2004) don't support it. So the screen is kinda stretched when your playing those games. Apart from that I love it!

hold on a second.
The monitor is listed as a widescreen monitor, but it states the resolution as 1280x1024; this is not a widescreen resolution, its a 4:3 aspect ratio. Might want to check if this is a written mistake or find out whats going on.....before you buy.

Indeed, definitely check that out before you get it.

that res is 5:4 not 4:3 :dork:

He means that it is a typical resolution for a 19" LCD (5:4 and 4:3 are normal ratios for PC screens). Making the screen wide without changing the ratio and pixels means the image might end up looking....stretched.

I'm not at all bothered if its a widescreen or a 4:3. However I would prefer if it is 4:3
