Thread ratings

I had never even noticed this feature until 5 mins ago, when I saw that the Valve info thread had 5/5 stars.


So I tried rating a thread and.....nothing.


Is there a minimal amount of votes for public display of ratings?
If there is, I think that should be more advertised and known, so we can have all threads rated .

Hmm thread ratings....in the grand scheme of things does anyone actually care? (Not a dig at you Sprafa, just the rating of threads in general)

I don't really know why it's been activated. It does register your vote. vBulletin works out the average votes and displays it as a star rating.

It could speed up reading threads, since you could know which ones where the best or the worst. And now with the mega afluence this forum has , it would come in handy.
