Three Simple Questions. Please Help..!

Mapping is not really my forte but rather modeling is, so diving headfirst into hL2 mapping has been a steep hill to climb, and I already ran outa (steam) :LOL:

Ok, hammer seems to work fine, I can make a map compile it with no problems and run said map ok. But my problem is that the npc_furniture entities of Alyx, Mossman etc and monsters just stand there cycling the animation. I can walk through them, cant throw things at them, or shoot them. I have tried numerous ways in I/O and filters but cant seem to get them to respond to anything. I have tried ground nodes for the npc to walk to, making sure I set up names correctly etc, but still nothing. Npc_furniture is the one I think I should be using to accomplish this..? Do I need to activate a script..?

The other thing I needed help with was the duration that blood and paint decals stay on the corpses & geometery in HL2, I know its not mp_decals command, the one im looking for is for HL2.

And finaly, how do you get the npc entities in Hammer to keep the choses animation cycle. They always seem to revert back to the default pose whe you load the map in hammer. All I want to be able to do Is, have a npc, whom is sitting on a couch, to stand up when I approach, cower in fear, and then be shootable to a ragdoll. I have scoued the net for tutorials and find myself overwhelmed with bad tutorials and non specific answers to these questions..!

Please help a stressed out modder if you can guys.. :thumbs:
