I have had an urge to play this game but I can't because it's not compatible with Windows XP. When I found out I dropped to my knees and looked up to the sky and screamed WWWWWWWWHHHHHHHHHHHHYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYY. Does anyone know a way I can play this game on Windows XP or will I forever be doomed to sitting here in agony?

Right click>properties>compatibility
chech run this progran in compatibility mode for windows 95.

Don't forget to mention that you do that (right click>properties etc) on the shortcut you use to run the game. I'd run it in compatibility mode for 98 myself, but I don't see it making much of a difference.

Works fine for me under xp.

It works fine on my comp.. I love it, probably the best C&C game in my opinion :)

Nah Red Alert 2 was better. Was easier to get into and had a quicker pace to it. TS was still fun to play if you prefered to play more slowly. ;o

Once I get it to work I demand someone plays me. I'll install it later.

It worked for me :/

The Red Alert games were so bad. The original C&C+Covert Ops and Tiberian Sun were probably the best. I never got into C&C:Generals.

Tiberian Sun is out on the SoldOut range or whatever. So I'm presuming they made it compatible with XP, but don't hold me to that.

Nothing like storming a base with nothing but a Mutant Hijacker and Cyborg Commando.

GDI pwns.. I like just sitting and making huge bases, building them "around" the civilian cities and sending out small squads of soldiers and stuff. But the the damn enemy storms me with a shitload of units and SEEKER HUNTER droids :(

GDI is always victorious in the end. Aren't they making a new Tiberian game?

I hope they are.

I played a lot of Tiberian Sun, but it always kinda grated on me. I suppose the whole deformable terrain thing was really annoying, since it could render an entire base area useless. Also that damn stealth generator would drive you nuts.

Nothing worse than having a hunter seeker plow into one of your refineries then only after having had a harvester gather back up all the spilt tiberium to find there's a tiny little deformed peice of terrain preventing you from placing it back.

Oh God, yeah. The hunter seeker thing. That was as irritating a weapon as has ever been conceived.

Hehe...Tiberian Dawn did come out. Thats the tagline for the first Command and Conquer. You're talking about Tiberian Twilight.

better yet.. stop living in the past.

There's nothing wrong with the past. I guess under that logic only new things are good right?

I think it is, i heard about this game like 4-5 years ago. Doesnt take long to make a rts game. :P

I know they're making another C&C game. They just can't let me down and stop with Generals.

I hated Generals, just didn't have the same spark as the others.

Generals is good but not very command and counquer-ish.
Tiberian sun was fun because you could build a structure anywhere if you asked nice enough :D

I liked generals, but i dont like the expansion its all rush now. :(
