senor freebie

Guest
Hi, I'm senor freebie from Tides of Darkness and I'm posting here to tell you all that our mod is currently looking for new members.
We need people with a great deal of experience in skinning models and ideally unwrapping them as well. We also need video editors, C++ coders and a sound artist.

Our mod is a democratic (eg. leader-less) team were anyones ideas are appreciated. We are focusing on a WW3 scenario that evolves from a war between China & the USA. We have a fair amount of

progress on modelling and some highly talented team-members.

We have been working with Battlefield 1942 for more then a year but will be changing to a Half Life 2 soon. We are also going through major change within our team that will result in huge

publicity, a massively expanded team and greater opportunities for those who will work with us.

Feel free to contact me on:
MSN - [email protected]
yahoo - j_hexen
ICQ - 129392555
AIM - senor freebie
email - [email protected]

Or drop by our forums and speak to all our team-members at:
http://www.207th-infantry.com/forums/

Here are some examples of our work:

Thanks ... I posted in here and in the recruiting section. I do that coz generally the recruiting section doesn't get much attention.

"i wish you lock on your mod"? are you refering to moderator lock thread? lol if so just say it man....

Did not know the chinese flew the Eurofighter.... I htought that was mainly a European thing... ;)

some nice media in there.

Its not the Eurofighter ... It's the J10, a smaller multi role fighter with stealth capabilities and thrust vectoring. It was officially announced in 2003 as a completed project and will be replacing China's aging fleets of aircraft within our mod's timetable.

Looking good. However: WW3 = ewww. Overused tbh ;(

Comeon, theres a world of imagination out there, there's nearly as many mods based on US vs China as there are WW2 mods :/

Well I am on the dev team, The game is half based on US vs China. So its not all based on US vs China, But its a nice more and you are correct WW3 is over used but then again ww2 isn't that interesting ;)

Look! Realistic weapons!

/me fetches a small gallows

One thing to add. Democracy in a mod team = bad idea.
Yep, a very bad idea. Should not involve people with no qualifications to make decisions, they'll be based on primitive idea's of what a game should/shouldn't have. Result being a bad mod. Only involve those who can make informed choices in the creative process, otherwise it'll end up ruined with lots of bad idea's and lots of people saying "it'll be great, trust me, I've played games all my life I know what I'm talking about" which is complete and utter shite from a design point of view. eg: Would you allow the average joe off the street who's been driving for three years design the next car? No, just cause they can drive doesn't mean they understand absolutely everything about a car.

Uhmmm...

Yahooo... Desert Combat 27!

Though thats really nice artwork, what'll be the "KEWL NEW STUFF" in your mod?

(please do not kill me, I do not want to flame you, I just want to know why your idea is cooler than everybody else's, convince little sceptic ol' me)

Fenric,

I have been reading your posts. I think you have been 100% accurate on just about everything thing you have said regarding the process of "moding"..

especially with your pain in the ass tone
.... :burp:

Nice looking models, and I do agree with Fenric and Comrade Badger about the democracy. As a project leader, I and my co-leader have had to beat down a small number of democratic movements with including MS in the wrong time line with 'Burdy's Flaming Spiked Baseball Bat of n00b Whoop-Ass.'

And by the way, excellent lookign models! Especially the rifle. Great skin job on it ;) but on a more depressing side note, and I'm not saying "change it!!!1," but the Commanche project has been very recently canceled, I believe.

One thing. I noticed you have a model of a jet. How are you going to use it? I mean HL2 levels are going to be big, but I don't think they'll be that big.
