Okay so out comes source and gfx are great. Now for the problems to release it without any form of admin tools was a joke given the cheating community being so strong on CS. And where the hell is the anti-cheat system valve are supposedly working on this great new anti cheat system that will cut cheating right down. I have heard rumours of adaptive systems that will spot new cheats in record time. I have been playing CS for over five years and as each version has come out i have binned playing because cheats flood the so-called secure servers. I am now at the point of giving up Cs again because everytime i play now at least one cheat on whatever server. All i want to do is play the game fairly and squarely and have a laugh doing it with people who mostly are fair and decent players. Surely if we pay our money for hl2 we should be able to expect valve to do something to make our money worth it. As for any cheats reading this time to get a life and stop being so stupid your score means nothing old players can spot cheats a mile off and i now let the server know when i am sure someone is cheating. Not a very constructive post but i am pi**ed off playing a game that the developer doesn't seem to care about

Just wait. VAC 2 will be out with (most likely) the december update, as will the admin tools (Hopefully).
Until then, if you feel so strongly against cheaters, then just don't play. I don't find many cheaters on the servers I go on (CSS), and also just type "status" into console, and show them their steam ID's. If they don't get off the server then, send that in to VALVe, who will subsequently block them.

Yeah what a great idea then the cheats can have the servers to themselves. At the end of the day we should be able to play thinking that valve give a damn but it feels like its a case of we got your cash now sod off. As for the update thing since it was released VAC2 was going to be in the next update then the update after that. If Source was a brand new game i could understand a company under-estimating the cheating problem but CS has a long and sad history of cheats I just want to play and have a laugh not get constantly frustrated about cheats getting bs kills all the time not too much to ask is it.

Well Cs:s sucks donkey cock. Runs like shit (hey I get better fps in doom 3 with everything high), changing the details don't give more fps. I think they should only be focusing on two things Vac2 and performance increase! But hell it's Valve (so I think maybe next summer we have those).

I seriously don't understand your problem with VALVe and/or CSS. I have had no real problems with cheaters (Not lasting more than 3 minutes anyway), and I get very good FPS. Try updating your drivers .

I think these problems are only concerning you and a very small majority. If any of you still hate cheaters, drop by the official Halflife2.net servers. Don't find any cheaters on there when I play.

And if you hate VALVe so much, why are you playing their games? Why don't you just boycott them and NOT play Half-Life 2. Better than whining like a little girl but still getting on with playing the games.

I've only experienced a cheater once on CS:S and he left after everyone told him too, I mean it is annoying but not a major problem

sometimes its difficult to know someone is cheating. after all some players are just that good. It would be so much better if there was a killcam like there is in Call of Duty. It is so much easier to know when you have been aimbotted when you see your death from your killers point of view.
