Okay.. Something is wrong with your time stamps... I have GMT-5 selected (my time zone) but right now it says it's like 9:40.

I think something is wrong. :O

Oh, hold on a minute, why does it say all times are GMT -4 at the bottom.. When I have it to -5?

Sorry posting this.. Appearantly the problem is something else...

Probably something to do with daylight saving time.

But we aren't saving any daylight, it gets dark earlier... i am confused. :o

Daylight Saving Time refers to when the clocks go forward one hour to make sure that the days are a lot lighter and brighter.

They recently went back (I think October).

When the clocks go forward we call this British Summer Time (BST) which effectively is GMT +1. This means that the forum clock goes forward one hour too.

That also means in October the forum clock went back one hour back to GMT +0 which is probably where the discrepency lies in vegeta897's time.

EDIT: Just noticed you're in the UK and you were probably being sarcastic :O I've just explained that like you're a martian or something. Sorry :o

I think this is has always been a problem however time doesnt play much of a part in the forums so it doesnt really matter :D

no, i realy dont get it... we lose an hour in the evening, to me that isn't saving daylight, it's creating more night time, if you see what i mean? :frog:

It's creating more daylight!

It's all down to farming methods - agricultural people used to (and still do) get up at dawn. Putting the clocks back/forward helps this stay in line with other people's businesses (starting at 9).
