Does anyone have any tips on how to cut down on texture repeating? I made this cliff and I want to make it less repeaty. Thanks for any tips.

EDIT: This problem has eben solved, can someone read down to see my other problem?

This game has a tendency to have a method of texturing.
There will be a set of three textures.
>One is the base, either a transition from something to just a light shadow
>The next is the middle, just a plain texture of that you want
>The last is the top, sometimes a trim piece of a wall or something like that.

128 is the standard height (i think) the textures are made to be split up like this:
======
top
======
middle
======
middle
======
etc.
======
bottom
======

Theres also a method of blending textures but i have not ventured there yet.

Okay, I do have a legit question now. How can I make the flat brush match up with the surface of the bumpy terrained brush?

About those displacement maps of yours: Select every displacement map that you're not going to use, and then delete them. They'll only ruin performance.

Once that's done, select the two displacement maps and press the Sew button. That should connect them. If all else fails, just paint the vertices until they match up.

so should I delete the sides of the ground? How do I do that? I can't figure out how. I know what you mean, just keep the top of the ground, but I can't get rid of the sides.

Edit: Just found the destroy button =)

Edit 2: Both brushes have only the top, but sew does not work. Are you sure there are no other ways? Painting them to match would be just a gigantic pain

this is what it looks like now
