I've turned autoaim off and it makes the game so much more fun in gunfights. It's harder but I really prefer it.

You?

i sometimes use it to quickly find a target, then free aim to the head...best of both worlds

Of course its turned off. I hate auto aim with a passsion. I dont sped ?45 to have the game play its self for me :)

Turned it off straight away. I use the aiming mechanics to get a good look at my environments, and in auto-aim it snaps to targets so **** that. It's much more fun doing fire fights when you're not killing everyone really fast - I much prefer the slower, more tactical battles.

It's just too bad it's really apparent in MP - you can tell when someone has it because they always win the firefight. Well, mostly, all because they can dodge your rounds whilst the crosshair never leaves your body.

I thought autoaim in MP was a server setting?

It is, it's just humans are stupid and the really arrogant people care more about getting points then making the game balanced and fun so they often leave it on. Sucks.

I like AutoAim and then use the semi-free aim to aim at the body parts, aka head if they're shooting back at me or legs if they're running.

Turning autoaim on still allows you to free-aim if you depress the left trigger halfway, and then locks on if you depress it further...

Auto aim, because I can't be bothered with shitty joystick aiming.

FYI, in my angry rant up there I wasn't getting at people that use auto-aim in general, just the people that use it solely for the reason that it's an easier way of getting kills. I ca understand the control prefrences but I know gamers, and I've seen a lot of people turning it on just for the points (think the BF2 players that preferred stat padding over fun gameplay)

I prefer the Auto Aim because my n64 shooting skills are long gone.Although, it sometimes cab be a hindrance when it keeps snapping back to the same target.

Singleplayer I prefer auto-aim. Multiplayer I prefer manual aim(as a server setting)

Manual aim rocks. Although it sucks in multilayer if everyone is using auto-aim against you. :(

Been using auto-aim up until now but I just switched it to manual. Awesome timing too, because the shoot-outs are starting to ramp up in difficulty (and fun). The only thing I don't like is the way the crosshair moves a bit when you swing out of cover, so you can't always set up a headshot properly. Getting important since they've started wearing body armour, which is ****ing tough to get through.
