Damn good game, someone (Dont know who) found a no time limit server and a ton of hl2.neters joined, pretty well took over the server...

Good game everyone (Not quite sure who some people where, just that they where from hl2.net) it was very, very close at the end, SiderwinderX makes a very, very good commander.

we had no commander that game (Glirk joined about 10 min before I left), just me as squad leader and my troop of merry men :D

and we WERE winning before I opted out for lunch... see what happens when I leave?!?!

I stayed until I was the last one left on the server :D. Yeah it was fun, me and shodan were both in the heli looking for badies.
 
I only play in the 64 person servers. It's just more fun that way.
 
That was the first time I'd played with some people playing properly, absoluty brilliant, another game tonight?

Guys, this is a very adictive game, very very fun game to play!, I just bought a Joystick so I can pilot way way better now, I even started to win some dogfights! I love this game!, please tell me the ip os the server you are going to play tonight, see you there!
 
That was a fun game. I had to leave early for work (damn near forgot about it) but when I was playing I was playing in a very annoying manner.

I was kinda taking a break from squadplay and just messing around with jets and helo's for part of it. JSF's can bomb artillery quite well. I got behind enemy lines (MEC) and bombed the artillery, jumped in a tank and kept killing planes and MEC soldiers as they spawned :P After a little spree Ritz got me with a rocket then shortly after autobalance switched me and I played spec ops for MEC.

I was keeping Glirk's artillery out of commission the entire time :D I'd blow it up. He'd drop supplies on them so they'd repair, I'd stand by the supplies he dropped, fill up on C4 and plant 5 - 2 on each arty and one on the supply box. I waited until I had full C4 again then I'd blow it. I did this like 3 times then he just stopped dropping supplies. So I walked to the northern most beach spawn and grabbed the apc. Sure enough, as I drove back towards the artillery I saw a supply box falling on a parachute. A few rounds took it out. I'm so devious. :)

I was playing today. If anyone was there and remembers... who did I pick out of a helicopter with an anti-tank rocket?
 
Definately some great games. Unfortunately when I was commander there was a spec ops camping the artilery so every time I dropped supplies to repair them he would just reload on c4 and blow the artillery again. That got annoying :frown:

Ah, my friend, you don't wait to get invited, you simply go on Xfire, see what server the majority of HL2.netters are playing on, and join it. That's what I do anyway. :E We're all obsessed, so its never too hard to figure out where to go.
 
We played today.. with waedoe and rakurai and a bunch of other people chilling in my squad.. we were holding that thing together but eventually waedoe got banned for tking (on accident, no less... the nubs keep walking in front of our vehicles), and i got tired of waiting for another 8500 tickets to expire. I think I left with 300 odd points... that was an intense, but laggy game. Lots of good moments.
 
Too bad if you're not fast enough, the servers end up filled quite quickly. Think you guys can play on 64 player servers. :)
 
What was so impressive about that rocket shot was that Redundant was the pilot.

I saw that. That was pretty crazy. I was bombing artillery at the time in my JSF.

I really appreciate the compliment Foxtrot, I aint that good though heh.

I was amazed since I was not expecting it...
there I was hovering mid air having my gunners cover the construction site, Commander gives the all clear, I send in my paratroopers to cap the flag while we provide cover, and seemingly out of nowhere an anti tank missile SNIPES ME, from such an angle that it does not damage my chopper..

that is a testament to skill, luck and the precision of the hitboxes in this game.

amazing. I wish that moment was captured via BFrecorder.

Heh, I also have to praise your dodging abilities. That boat, that one time... was amazingly well done.

And on top of that, yer a fantastic squad leader <grins> I'm no good at squad leader, I tend to just kinda stay quiet and not do much. I work best as a soldier among a squad.

Take down all of our names on your Xfire friends list, wait for a majority of us to start playing BF2 and then join in!

That was cool, I think Im one of the few people who hover the heli so the gunner doesnt have a hard time :P As aposed to flying back and forth over it like crazy.

I dont remember.. but I think I crashed afterwards right?

I try to hover as much as possible for my gunner and the machine gun and TV missiles they can fire. Those are much more deadly than the rockets the pilot can fire. I take evasive maneuvers the moment we're locked on to though.
 
me wants to play sumtime : p.. my xfire name is clarky005 (how origional :/ ) any time on the evenings might be good.
 
just got off playing a 2 hour game there now with loadsa hl2netters, foxtrot, raziaar, glirt, shodan, sidewinder, jimmeh, unimata, loads there was, great fun, love plaing with you guys.

ducking under jimmehs oncoming buggy was the highlight of the match for me, lol. good times.
 
just came out of the later instance of the same game, good fun.

Yea, it's really hard when someone's flying about. The annoying thing is that the machine gun can't fire above a certain point, and the enemies kept flying sliiiightly above my range :D

Once we were flying over an enemy outpost, I just pointed downwards and sprayed at them, flukily killing 2, one of which was amishslayer \o/
 
I hover the heli too but it makes you such an easy target for anti-tank troops.
 
wish i could play, but i need to wait till my psu gets delivered ;(

at least it will be here in time for the real game

i thought the same thing myself. those helicopter captures were perfect (except when you got sniped by a rocket, haha). we would hover over the zone, clear out the riff-raff (sorry for mini-gunning you ritz), drop a few paratroopers, and move on to the next objective. i must compliment our squad, with teamwork like that we were unbeatable.
 
just a quick question, dont want to start a new thread but in the special class score, the 1 beside your overall score, sometimes its -, i dont get that, how do you get minuses? is it like if you are a medic and dont save someone near you or is it when you use the med packs for yourself or enemy uses them? *confused*
