Tom Cruise as Spock?

How ironic. A batshit insane actor playing as the logical and well-reasoned Dr. Spock.

...this is a joke right? Please be a joke. Not that the movie will be even half-good with or without Cruise. Prequel to the original Star Trek? Didn't anyone understand why Enterprise killed off this once mighty franchise?

It's not a stretch. He already believes in alien races and intergalactic travel.

Spock's a bullshit character anyways. "I'm all logical but I can't comprehend emotion what huh whaut??"

ITS NOT THAT HARD TO FIGURE OUT, SPOCK.

Plus, he's way too casual about all the retarded racists all around him. "Stupid Vulcans can't understand emotion, ha-ha! Now to check with the doctor about my latest case of space-herpes before we fly into a black hole while looking for god and end up killing Abe Lincon"

If Gene Rod'n'berries were smart, spock would be the captain and kirk would be his pathetic comic-relief bitch.
No debate there.

Star Trek sucks anyways... the federation is too goody goody. You need evil like the empire. MUAHAHAHAHAHA.

In reality though, in the future... earth would be a large series of various cutthroat companies vying for control of earth and neighboring planets in the system. Military companies... with constant bloodshed.

Now THAT creates for an awesome space drama... but a shitty future.
