Tomorrow is pre-load, I wonder if I can play.

Before you say, "U IDIOT U HAF 2 WATE UNTILL 18TH. OMGLOL." I already have CS:S on my computer, since I connect using the account.

So tomorrow, it will show up in my games list as a preload, so it knows I'm authenticated, it's already preloaded and all the files are already there so it doesn't need to preload.

I don't know...I guess I will find out tomorrow unless anyone else knows

Well if the files are all there, then it won't do anything hehe.... It's like when a bunch of people who randomly got the CS:S cache file for no reason a few days ago.... It will just probably say "CS:S will be unlocked soon" or whatever the message it gives you when it's done preloading.

Nah ive never fully understood the reason for opening up on the 18th. it should be preloading done = play

But I have the folder with the .exe and everything. I also have both GCF files (the one they preload and the one they give to you after it's unlocked).

Still, you think? Maybe Valve is smarter than I believe.

Okay you have everything that you need, so you really won't need any files... Steam probably will just pass you by then and won't give you any files. They won't allow your account to play because it must authenticate through Steam whether you have permission to run that game or not...

They will only let you preload if you haven't. No more thinking outoud hehe.

They are doing that to see how long it takes x amount of people to download x sized file over x amount of time... not only is it a test of the Source Engine when its going... it is also testing Steams Content servers for when HL2 comes out mid-end september...
