I hope I'm not the only one feeling overwhelmed with games atm. The only recent release I've had the time to beat is Uncharted 2. I'm finding it hard to focus on playing through just one game because I'm enjoying most of them. Frustration is rising at the same rate as my gaming satisfaction. Damn holiday release wave!

Agreed - there's way too much to play at the moment.

I still haven't got round to Uncharted 2, have to finish Borderlands, and Mario and Left 4 Dead 2 arrive tomorrow!

so the gist of the complaint is you are being entertained too much?

you sir have a good life :)

Most of it is overhyped and overrated. My only gaming purchase this month was Left 4 Dead 2. I have about four to five games I'll buy in the next 12 months and that's about it.

I've been enjoying the hell out of modern warfare 2. Also just beat GTA: gay Tony and need to find more time to play BF1943. Yeah, this is a good problem to have.

I disagree. I feel extremely underwhelmed this year, and the only upcoming games I am looking forward to maybe are AVP3 and Bioshock 2. Notice the maybe.

I would if I could actually afford all the games I want to play. And especially as someone who wants to enter into video game journalism, it sucks to miss out on a lot of important releases.

Bah humbug to you both.

Mario has arrived early - off to the mushroom kingdom I go o/

I still have a bunch of long games I need to play through. Valkyria Chronicles I espeically need to finish.

Jaeger's a bitch.

it has indeed been an expensive couple of months. ive bought Dirt 2, Fifa 10, Uncharted 2, Operation Flashpoint 2, Forza 3, Modern Warfare 2, Assassins Creed 2 and Left 4 Dead 2 has just arrived. NO MORE GAMES FOR THE LOVE OF GOD

/renews Xbox Live Gold Sub :(

Well there's Dragon Age and L4D2 but not many others from the entire year that interested me. Empire Total War being the only one I can think of right now.

game i need to finish that I haven't:

Kameo
Star Craft
Farcry 2
Uncharted 2
Prince of Persia (2008)
Lost Odyssey
Dark Athena
Darkest of Days
Sacrifice
Beyond Good and Evil
Fable 2
FFVII
FFX
etc etc

games i just bought that i haven't opened:

Dirt 2
Batman
Operation Flashpoint 2
Cryostasis
Red Alert 3
Mirrors Edge
Tomb Raider Underworld
Neverwinter Nights 2
Warcraft 3
and about 20-30 Steam/Impulse/Direct2Drive games

most of these games I got cheap but still I should have some friends over and have them help me finish some...to top that I kinda put WoW on the side and started Dragon Age

I've just finished The Ballad of Gay Tony although am still tinkering around with bits and bobs. About three-quarters of the way through Brutal Legend and whilst I love it, I probably won't come back to it once I finish it, at least for another 12 months or so.

Then there's the obvious ongoing Left 4 Dead 2 that takes up much of my time at the moment and I still fiddle around on Scribblenauts now and then, although I've near given up on some of the more advanced puzzles.

Planning to purchase in the next few weeks before Christmas: Dragon Age, Borderlands and NSMB2.

Then I'm getting Assassin's Creed II for Christmas.

Then in the new year there'll be No More Heroes 2 and Mass Effect 2.

There are other games that hold my interest but in regards definite purchases, things are looking very healthy.

Nothing out at the moment I'm rushing to buy at full price TBH. The game I want to play most is probably New Super Mario Bros. Wii, but as I don't own the console anyway, 'full price' is far, far too high.

More interested in the Q1 2010 releases pushed out of the schedule by Modern Borefare. (See what I did there?)

I agree with OP, for me it goes like this:

Uncharted 2
L4D2 (still haven't tried cos of AC2 and MW2)
MW2
AC2
AC PSP
LBP PSP

I also would like to check out borderlands and dragon age.

Didn't buy any games this year. Meant to buy that one game world of goo for .01 - $5

I'm not really feeling overwhelmed yet, right now I'm just playing MW2 and AC2, and I'm thinking about buying L4D2. I'll be much busier in Q1 of 2010 when I'm buying Dark Void, Mass Effect 2, and Darksiders in January. Boishock 2 in February, and maybe Dante's Inferno some time after that.
