OK, title pretty much explains it. Post a top 10 with the weirdest weapons you've encountered in games.

Here's my top 10:

1-Land Shark Launcher - Armed and Dangerous
2-Bovine Blitz - Worms Mayhem
3-Fatkins Strike - Worms Mayhem
4-Snarks - Half Life
5-Bananas - NOLF2
6-Hornet gun - Half Life
7-Cerebral Bore - Turok 2
8-Voodoo Doll - Blood
9-Tibetan War Cannon - Undying
10-Shrinker - Duke Nukem 3d

Top of my list would be gravity gun from HL2. I'm not sure if you'd consider it weird, but it certainly was new and unconventional.

2. Cerebral Bore - Turok 2
3. Snarks - Half-Life
4. Shrinker - Duke nukem 3D
5. Impact Hammer - Unreal Tournament
6. Barnacle - Half-Life: Opposing Force
7. Pheropods - Half-Life 2
8. While technically not a weapon, the Priest's Mind Control ability in World of Warcraft.
9. Microwave Pulse Gun - Soldier of Fortune
10. The blade you throw in Turok 2.

Snark - Half - Life
Ghost Gun - TimeSplitters 3

Right Foot at the same time - Duke Nukem 3D

WTF, I don't remember that.

Haha, hold ~ and you kick while you have your weapon out to shoot, then just select "The might foot" and you can run around kicking with both lets. It's quite hilarious to beat the game with only your legs \=

My entire list would probably consist entirely of Worms weapons, if I remembered 10 of them. Off the top of my head I can only remember the Old Lady and Banana Bombs.

Here I'll help LOL: Banana bomb, Bovine Blitz, Inflatable Scouzer, Sheep, Old woman, Fatkin Strike, Concrete Donkey, Chatter Bomb, and my personal favorite the Finger:LOL:

Lovely.

Worms...so delicious a game series.

Man, wouldn't a Wii installment rule most excellently? Using the Wiimote to aim your bazooka, throw your banana bombs, shoot your dragon balls?

Unfortunately it doesn't work in 1.5/Atomic Edition. :(

the red rider bb gun from fallout 2

it actually did decent damage for a weapon that only used bbs

almost forgot, the hidden cardboard tube sword in the mod point of existence for battlefield vietnam.

hyperblaster in dead rising.

Tennis balls ftw! :)

The borer in the hardware shop. hitting a zombie in the chest, picking his body up and watching it spin as you use him as a battering ram. Weird but wonderful.

Always liked the mailstrike in worms

M4 with a cat silencer - Postal 2

7. Maelstrom (Starcraft, Dark Archon)
8. Infested Terran (Starcraft)
9. Spit (Dead Rising)
10. Snarks (Half-Life)

Yeah, the infested Terra was wierd. I thought they should have gone a lot further with infestations like firebats and nurses.

1. Viral Proliferator (System Shock 2)
2. Needler (Fallout 2)
3. Alien Blaster (Fallout)
4. Cherub Missile (Interstate '76)
5. Pheropod (Half-Life 2)
6. Stouker (Jedi Academy)
7. Microwave Pulse Gun (Soldier of Fortune)
8. Quietus Missile (Project Nomad)
9. Non-Eutatic Blade (Deus Ex)
10. Hivehand (Half-Life)

Gyrojet carbine/pistol: Brigade E5: New Jagged Union
Cerebral Bore: Turok 2: Seeds of Evil (also one of the coolest weapons ever)
Injector (or whatever it was): Timesplitters: Future Perfect
Spore launcher: Half Life: Opposing Force
Rocket Propelled Hippo: Worms Forts
Concerete Donkey: Worms series
Auto rocket rifle: Jagged Alliance 2
Infested Terran: Starcraft
Arclite EMP cannon: Hostile Waters: Anteus Rising (wierd because it was almost completley useless apart from the one mission where you have to use it.)
CIA Deer Gun: Jagged Alliance 2: Unfinished Business: SOG '69. A 9mm pistol with 1 shot in each "magazine". Realistic but utterly useless. One of the reasons I always hire Fox when playing SOG. And it looks like a glue gun.

Here's my little list :D

7. Sheep, Worms series
Worms1_screenshot.jpg

Back when this game series still was good, the sheep was the most unusual weapon of all, and easily the best one when you need to get rid of a badly positioned enemy worm. What is more humiliating than be killed by something that emits "Baa!" before it goes off?

6. Barnacle, Half-Life: Opposing Force
July01_weapons_08.jpg

A prime example of the "bad guy gone good" phenomenon which we've seen abit of in the Half-Life storyline,
the barnacle proved an excellent weapon in opposing force, enabling you to scale walls and.. eat your enemies.

5. Disruptor rifle, Jedi Knight 2: Jedi Outcast
disruptor1.jpg

Not so much an odd weapon in the way it's used as in the way it kills people. Zoom in on an enemy, and pull the trigger. Gone. Poof. It does what it says on the tin, it desintegrates people, leaving a smoking trail of ash as the only proof someone was ever there.

4. Redeemer, Unreal Tournament series
redeemer.jpg

Who doesn't love this? BOOM sums it up quite nicely.
No matter what you do with it, you're bound to kill something with it, just pull the trigger and hope it's not yourself.

3. Gravity Gun, Half-Life 2
Hammerphyscannon.jpg

What, 3rd spot? Yes, everyone can agree that the gravity gun is one of the most innovative weapons in the history of gaming, but I didn't actually use it that much in game. I think it's part of the whole gaming for a long time, you sort of go, why switch to the grav gun when you can just shoot someone? I used it alot in Gmod I guess, and it's a hell of a lot of fun in deathmatch. There's something VERY satisfying about killing someone with a toilet.

2. Banana, No one lives forever 2
nolfbanan.jpg

****, who didn't use this in game? Not much can be said about it, people slip on it! :D It can be used anytime, when you're outnumbered, outgunned, or just want to set a trap for a possible foe. I found most use of it in The Evil Alliance mission where you have to sneak your way through. As well as when you're out of weapons and the hilarious police is chasing you around in the first India level, and also where you meet Crazy Harij, the inspiration for my nick name :D

And lastly..
1. Lightsaber, Jedi Knight series
52.jpg

Not odd in the star wars franchise, but certainly odd within the context of most games.
This thing justified using a single weapon throughout a whole game, and rightly so. The lightsaber is a shining beacon of.. ass kicking.
It put a worthy battle against sith, and tore ordinary enemies to shreds. It's cool, lethal, and above all, fun. Not something you pull up when you encounter a difficult boss, or just for the novelty of cutting someone in half. You keep it on from the moment you acquire it to the end of the game. That must say something about it's greatness, or is it just a gamers desperate need of an adequate phallus extension?

HE COPIED ME!!1 :frown:

My list in no particular order (can't be arsed with pics this time tho'):

Voodoo Doll - Blood
Shrinker - Duke Nukem 3D
Expander - Duke Nukem 3D Atomic Edition
Holy Hand Grenade - Worms
Donkey - Worms
Sheepinator - Ratchet & Clank
