Top 3 Worst Communities

Deviantard (hoho)
/b/ (inevitable)
Steam forums

Also, facepunch gets an honorable mention.

Myspace, because everyone that uses it tries to be unique and fails so hard.

What the hell is Facepunch? Facebook?

You people know nothing.

1. Gaia Online
2. Deviantart
3. Youtube commenters

Up the list are also the bad touhou fans, WoW fans, and kingdom hearts fans, although you can just slip the kingdom hearts fans in with Deviantart.

(also gamefaqs)

The only reason the Gmod forums are bad are because of Garry's nazi decisions to ban everyone who misuses an apostrophe. Also because the gmod community sucks in general.

hah, I remember when people were so batshit happy for that thing.

All posts from henceforth are to include at least two lines explaining why each selection has been made.

All fine choices certainly. But I'd have to expand youtube beyond the idiots who comment to the idiots who post videos in the first place. As bad as something like Myspace is, it's a lot, lot easier to tune out of the blatant, prolific ****tardary. For starters, there are actually reasons to visit Youtube to shift through the crap in the first place.

Unix forums
Ubuntu forums
FreeBSD forums
/troll

Facepunch. For all the reasons stated before. Truly a crap community.
Youtube. The comments there are the epitomy of stupidness.
Day of Defeat Sub-forum. That place is just lame.

liveleak comments...never seen so much racism.

PS3 has no games.

deviantART is a furry heaven (i bet it's bluewolf's favourite site)
Facepunch is gay, because Gayry, and his mod are gay
L4D Community is also full of crying babies

hl2.net is okay I guess (hl2world, for the win) :dork:

I guess it's what you want. Facebook is absolutely awful for meeting new people.
Myspace on the other hand is quite great for that, especially for networking.

who the hell wants to meet NEW people?

Well that's true, I suppose. I find Facebook is very well organized and is great for keeping tabs on people who are already my friends.

1. Youtube - If this site does not prove that most of humanity is comprised of idiots, it at least shows that the most sophisticated and important technology of the last century is within far too many of their hands.

2. Protest Warriors - This might seem a little passé given our post-Bush administration universe, but they deserve a little historical note. Read in awe as its many members articulately and eloquently argue sheer nonsense. I don't really think conservatism (except social conservatism) to be that abhorrent or even disagreeable on a lot of issues, but this is a community of insufferable cocks with an outwardly obnoxious agenda. Despite all that, their meager achievements are good for a laugh.

myg0t forums - If you played Counter-Strike, you may have heard of clan myg0t. They were not actually a clan, but more a roaming band of marauders that would **** the shit out of you and your server if you were ever unfortunate enough to appear in their server browser. Wallhacks, aimbots, forced player disconnects, server crashes, spectator-fragging; it was terrifying. I figured "Why not register on their forums?", which were open to anybody. What awaited me was vast stashes of hardcore violent pornography, endless video links to people getting mutilated and getting bumped off in eXTreME!!!1 ways, and glorious amounts of hacks. Also not a civil post to be found. I felt dirty every time I went there, which was for probably a total of four times.

I can't really say it was a bad forum perse. I think its intention was to be some kind of abyssal hell for the internet that you can't help but want to peek into, but leaves you kind of disturbed afterwards. That was then though. At a glance now, they seem to have cleaned up.

EDIT: "myg0t" is still a censored word on this board, interestingly enough.

I don't see how that's any different than saying "Cotten fields is ****** heaven (i bet it's martin luther's favourite site)"

PCATTTACK!

Has anybody mentioned the CAD forums? They're practically the same as facepunch, just on a smaller scale.

well we all want to get into www.mixi.jp japan biggest social networking and start meeting Japanese.....people...but we can't get in! We can't read japanese!

Damnit.

1. Youtube - It is almost impossible to describe the amount of stupidity displayed by the Youtube community. Commonly you'll hear it referred to as being populated by twelve year olds, racists, idiots with outlandish, unsupported, or misinformed opinions, so on and so forth but really there is no blanket term I can think of to quite describe the level of sheer stupidity that the majority of Youtube commenters display. There needs to be a whole new term created to accurately sum up these people; "Youtube stupid" should be inserted into the common vernacular as the only way to describe something or someone so monumentally retarded that it's something you might see posted in a Youtube comment.

2. Gaia - Perhaps the largest community on the internet, Gaia has 7 million unique users a month and over one million posts per day. Think of the enormity of those numbers. Now picture that each one of those users and each one of those posts is at least wapanese, is likely a tween, and might also be emo/furry/enjoys Twilight. One million posts per day by culture-disaffected teenagers spending their cash on decking out their super deformed, anime-eyed avatar with wings, sparkles, pets, gothic lolita clothing, and whatever other flavor-of-the-month shit Gaia's got going on for your avatar. Gaia's also about 55% women among a sea of ronery teenage boys, so showing tits for Gaia Gold is common practice to get that new Sephiroth handbag.

3. Halflife2.net - A small community, which might be the only reason it's this far down the list. Because of it's small size (about 120 regular users), Halflife2.net is one gigantic circle-jerk of members slobbing each others' knobs. Absolutely nothing of value ever comes from Halflife2.net, as the majority of their discussion is things that have already happened, such as yesterday's news posted today; old videos, images, and memes rehashed from other areas of the internet and posted as new content to a group that seems to never venture outside these boards; endless polls on things like "What snacks do you like to eat as a gamer"; and general bad threads like, "Guys I have relationship problems," "Should I tell a fart joke to the US embassy," or "Top 3 worst communities."

The average user on Halflife2.net is in their upper teens/early twenties; this accounts for nothing of maturity however as most people on here are flaming shitcocks. The Halflife2.net forums are populated by racists, misogynists, 13-year-old boys with G-man theories, crazy foreigners, weeaboos, furries/scalies, pretentious jerks, senile old men, and unrepentant fagets who troll PS3 and TF2 threads. Moderation is only used when these users are having fun; bad threads are left open for fifteen pages while genuinely good content is instantly locked. This is because Halflife2.net is run by angry administrators who hate you and wish nothing more than for you to get up and die and stop wasting their precious bandwidth.

Average posts on Halflife2.net forums is about one per day. You can feel safe in knowing that if you posted something last month it's likely only going to be on page 2, and if you posted something ten months ago it's going to be resurrected by some newbie who has absolutely nothing to add to the conversation except "LOL."

You will never find a more boring hive of scum and villainy.
