Okay, total anarchy, what do you do?

Me? I have a mental list of people that have wronged me that i whould pay visit to. Then i guess i whould form some kind of gang.
 
Get friends together and start introducing order after raiding the police barracks for riot gear. Alternatively, the military base. If all else fails, shovels. Yes, shovels.

Ever been hit with a shovel?
 
I'd call total anarchy more frightening than the Zombie Appocolypse. Real people have intelligence....I use that word lightly.

Pretty much any blunt instrument will do fine thou. I sometimes imagine that i whould with a bunch of people, take control of a cupple of blocks and make it our "turf".

Don't missunderstand me, this isn't somethinh i hope for, like some idiot anarchist wannabe. I just think it's an intressting scenario.
 
Loot the local mall to get meself a PS3, X360 and Wii. And lots and lots of games.

Anyways, total Anarchy would be fun, but horrifying, and ulitmately terrible. But I'd still enjoy it because I would get to live out my rugged post-apocolyptic fantasies.

My first bit of advise would be to see a therapist, talk out your problems, generally nip whatever is causing you to fantasize about that kind of violence in the bud before it becomes a problem.



But if government and all authority broke down, I'de immediately move to secure myself and friends and family food, water, transport, weapons, and a secure defendable location, or, if the cause of societal callapse is zombies or something that makes cities undesirable to dwell in, get the hell outta dodge and find a quiet isolated corner/valley/forest to set up shop and wait it out.


In either situation once our immediate needs are met I would organize us and our energies on rebuilding logistical supply of food and water and stuff.

Water wouldn't be too hard to get seeing as I live in Scotland, food would require returning to agriculture, possibly hunting cats and dogs (I know...but we gotta eat) if its that dire, but mostly I reckon we could just grab some cows and sheep and pigs, chickens from the plethora of farms around and relocate them to fields around our new home.

Once I had managed to organize my group of survivors into a basic society again, I'de think about sending out patrols and scouts, checking the local area for other survivors.


Dunnotar castle is just shouth of a town called Stonehaven thats south of my city, I reckon it would be a good place to set up, defendable, and only really needs some rebuilding to the existing buildings, with fields nearby for food production, though water could be a problem, I'de have to see what was in the local area.


Either way I'de organize folk with the know-how to make improvements to our little settlement, relearn some lost technologies, scavenge modern tech we can use, and after a good while I'de think about sending out expeditions really far south to see whats left of civilization down that way.


I wouldn't use it for revenge though, and I think I'de like to maintain the law as it stands within the group of survivors as best as possible.
 
Proboaly try and cummnicate with family and friends, and then try to get us out of the area. If the whole country is in the state, flee somewhere safer/get a weapon of some sort.
 
Heh, in high school, some of my 'punk' friends had visions of this utopian anarchy in which they lived off of their Misfits records and a shotgun. Me? Water the tomato plants and take pictures of the central valley as it inevitably catches fire. I'd probably fill the gas tank too, as the last thing I need are even higher gas prices.
 
Smart choice Adadiviak. I can imagine those Misfits records getting old fast :p

I would go kill alot of annoying people i know. Then i would get a friend to drive me around town while i hang out of the window hitting people/things with a bat/pole/pipe wrench or crowbar , just for kicks.

Or you know, run over to my friend's house and grab some of the heavy AA guns there.




Actually, come to think of it, restoring order with AA guns would be better. :p

Less realistic answer: Throw babies at firemen.

Slightly more fun answer: lol Numbers. Wait that isn't an answer at all.
 
I have a mental list of people who owe me, trust me, and don't like me. The last one is very short. The first 2 are long. I'm a very giving people. I'll find the few intelligent people in the group, and we'll start gathering supplies and finding weaponry.

More realistic answer: Go to Amsterdam.
 
In a total anarchy, I would ensure that I flatten out all of the USA(excluding Seatle, and the state of NEW YorK), build a massive road connecting Mexico to Canada in this aformentoned flattened space, built a wall completely surrounding the Pacific, drain the water out, take the Nullibor plain from the ground(I've a thing for limestone), and, continue to dig through the resulting hole, and put a train line to China from Sydney going through the hole.
It would be anarchy, but it would be my anarchy.
 
Wear leather and spikes and ride around on a motorcycle.
 
I already dress like a post apocolyptic rebel fighter. All I must do is get some weapons, a car, and a bike, and pick up my best friend and build an good hiding place.... but oh yeah, I gotta take care of the family D:

So many people to take care of when you are a post apocolyptic scavenger.
 
Outside where I can see you? The cramped indoor areas really don't bring out the nakedness.
 
I'd go to my gran's house in Scotland and be okay, since it's on an island, and all the people are either old, highly religious, or they're kids too horny to behave but too dumb to do anything ruinous. Anarchy would pass the island by, the only problem being the cessation of the ferry service.

I would grab a gun, arm my friends and form a gang.
Then we would take a territory (with a hospital) and restore order on it.
P.S. Oh and I would try to invite some good strong men to my side.Make some PR.

I'm up for it, I will bring the first motion to the new senate to call it Republic "The Epic Peoples Republic of Awesome".

We can send out raid parties to the mainland, round up whatever anarchy loving emos/kids with anger problems we find and like, force them to work the fields, now that would be ultimate irony, just as their crazy notions of freedom are in reach, the next civilization is already in line and treating them harsher than the prior, bwahahahahaha!.


But the new republic probably wouldn't condone slavery, even of teenagers.
 
I'd kill a lot of people that current "laws" tell me I can't right now.

i have enough guns and ammo... my friends know where to find me.. and they had better hit up the liquor stores on their way up here!
id have no qualms adding a bit of lead to the gene pool...
 
get my hands on a gun or two (or just meet up with someone I know that has a couple), load up the truck with as much food as possible, loot a gas station or the like and take a couple hundred disposable lighters, boxes of matches, other necessities that would over time become scarce, then head for the hills, set up camp by a water source somewhere in the appalachians
 
Wait for order to restore. Which would be like a week at max.
 
I would head north to visit friends that own a farm or a ranch. Up where it's not heavily populated it is easier to live off of the land.
 
yeah I was going to say that. I was thinking canned food and stuff won't last. Even if you get a shit-load, it still won't last a year probably. You need something that replenishes it self.

I would loot anything I could use and head for the hills and hideout with a hair-trigger double barrel, and a sidearm. I would bring many seeds and plant a garden for food and filter water from a nearby source.
 
yup i'd do something simmilar. stock up and head for the hills.

thing is in europe getting a gun is not that easy. you americans have it much easier since criminals on both sides have them, the difference is our public doesn't you do.

Dunno about you jverne but there is at least one army barracks in my city so I could probably grab a couple of SA80's or at least a sidearm or two. :sniper: :x
