Total War - Expanding onto Steam

The Total War series is waging War on Steam with the latest news informing us that the expansion pack to Medieval 2 Total War - Kingdoms - has been released onto Steam along with Rome Total War and the two expansions for that game! This is great news for all Total War fans who can check the info on this here!

Lets hope with the exapansion they've fixed the bugs that completely ruined an awful lot of battles and seiges in the original Medieval 2.

Would have got this off steam if it worked with the retail version. I really like not having to keep a ton of boxes around the house and having all my games ready to download if I want to reformat or something, wish more publishers would allow games you buy retail to be registered on steam as well.

Hey I heard there was a big cockup with Steam and that the one they have available for download is only compatible with RETAIL versions, i.e. everyone who bought the original M2TW off Steam can't play Kingdoms. Any word on that?
