Ehi guys Did you ever really played or tried the activision games as Medieval and Rome Total war? U know anything to tell me about these games?

I love the total war series.
Shogun was awesome, Sure it had 2d sprites for units, but it was still pretty epic. Then there was Mongol Invasion, You could lead the armies/hordes of Ghengis Kaun(sp?) and just own the crap out of everyone.
Never played Medieval...
But I did get Rome...BEST. DAMN. RTS. EVER.

Rome rules. Though all the other games are also acclaimed. Basically the Total War Series are a cut below Blizzard and C&C.

I have all the total wars, and I love them all. Rome is fantastic...10,000 guys fighting on the walls and inside a huge city ...how can you not think thats cool??

If you want to play the games, play them in order...otherwise the first two will pale in comparison to Rome. They are all amazing though.

Regardless of that - it's the best RTS i've played \o/

yes. ive always looked for a game where u can have a very large scale battle....the total war series kicks ass.

I never liked the first couple.

But Rome. Now that is an awesome game. Only Half Life 2 could wrestle me away from it!

I've only played the rome demo, i havent got the cash to get the game. I've got medieval and it's a very solid game, im just rubbish at army tactics, hence me not getting rome on the top of my priorities....

A bad thing inside rtw is caught me. Just ended the Intro game with the family available within, and I saw that the imperial campaign allowed me only to pick one rom'n factions as civilization. I don't care of that still now but I think I'm able to unlock other civilization types after I went through two/three games of 'senate's families'...(i.e. a briton/greek-like game start). The previous game (mtw) allowed us to start a game with any europe's civilization, so why do that game not allowed that?
