There are some tip top maps here (some of the best customs so far imo)
There is also a few server running it (and yes the do have people in )

Actually, apart from urban maps, I also like Oman and Wake.

Oman's fine, but if you're on the US side on Wake, Dalian, Clean Sweep or Dragon Valley, and your team's full of noobs they're not fun maps. (i.e. getting off a carrier/ out of one base) Wake makes it even worse because its so obvious to the chinese where you have to go.

i like wake its pretty fun when you got a decent squad going

i love kubra, oman, dragon valley, claen sweep - the way the game should be
i despise zatar - u can travel from one end of the map to the other and only meet a handful of enemies
i'm indifferent about karkand, mastuur - both can suck mightily

lol how about trying it before you go slaging it off :|
1 of the maps in the pack is better than most of the originals.
Iv been on a 64 player server most of the day with this pack and its a refreshing change from the same old default maps.

I know most of the custom maps that have previously come out are pants but most of these in the pack are ok (trust me)

actually jammy mainly my fault i guess not a singlee word in this thread has been about custom maps
i would try it but no single player makes me an unhappy camper

yeah you can blame EA and dice for that, they have piss poor customer support and relations atm, they are not even going to release a patch for the editor.
And we all know why, so the can make more money off expansions and ranked servers. shame on you!

It would be really nice with an official remake of El Alamein for BF2, same map layout but it would be taking place somewhere in the middle east..El Alamein was the best map of BF1942 imo..
