Touchpad problem

I just did a fresh install of windows 7 professional 64 bit, and now my laptop touchpad's "scrollwheel" isn't working. I tried updating the drivers, but I can't get it to work. Anyone else have this problem or know of a solution?

Plug in a mouse.

I do, but it's not feasible when taking notes in class.

If the drivers don't work, then yeah I'm pretty sure the scroll wouldn't.

Well, the touchpad works, but the little scrollbar thing on the side isn't. Windows says that the drivers are fine. I'm just wondering if anyone else has had this issue.

Does anybody know if there are custom touchpad drivers for laptops?
