Toupé are a rather unique band, really quite funny, with two bass players and no guitar.
The come from Southampton, UK, near where I live (the Isle of Wight).
Definately different, as well as their songs being different from most other stuff, they're also different from each other, they have quite a wide range of stuff.
You can check them out at toupe.co.uk , where you can hear a few of their tracks (http://www.toupe.co.uk/listen.html). Out of the tracks they have on there to listen to I would definately recommend Gilly's Weapon and Lonley News Stand.
They've had various reactions, from being called "the musical equivalent of Tim Burton" on the BBC site to Kerrang not liking it at all (or so I hear). So, what do you all think?
