tranfered comp to new case have problems

I transfered my computer to new Full tower server case but now my ethernet that is intergrated into motherboard i think is broken cause i connect the router wire to it then i type 192.168.1.1 and it doesnt even take me to my router thing which it should connect but wire works on other computers in houses do you think that little ethernet intergrated to mother board is broken which ill just buy ehternet for a pci slot is that may be problem. Also case has 450 watts im all happy?

It could well be. Try pinging the computer from another, (when the wire is in) and seeing if it responds.

ok it says this also i did this on my moms comp i tried pinging it from

pinging 68.5.43.179 wtih 32 bytes of data:

Right, do you connect to the net through a LAN ? (Only LAN I've ever set up ;o)

your IP is probably 192.168.0.2 or .3 if you're on a router.

usally to see your router, it's 192.168.0.1

the hole seems like it just broke lol its getting like loose soits broken ill get a new ethernet today thanks for all the help!!

Also yes i thinks its lan all 3 compuetrs use linksys stuff lol
