Translucent Textures

Hi there
I want to create a translucent texture, i used already a vmt of another texture created by some guy, alex_light textures, but my texture continues to be opaque. I have to alter the texture in paint shop to give a diferente background, is it the vmt or what.

Alpha channels in photoshop

Yeah, look for tutorials on Alpha Channels. You can do them in PSP too, but it's easier in Photoshop.

Anything that's white in the alpha channel will be see-able ingame, anything black will be see-through.
