Travelling to the US

No this is not another thread to get alot of people reading and writing. Im not trying to get more posts or anything.
Before i begin id like to warn you

this thread is serious, do not write anything that has NOT to do with this question please. This is an idea for a story im writing.

Here goes, ive been wondering just because of curiosity. If for example a 17 year old guy wants to travel to USA, he buys a flight ticket and goes to US without telling his parents etc. then when the flight goes home, he never shows up, but he stays in US to live there by his own. Is this possible, easy etc. i mean can you as 17 travel there from europe ?

Ummmm if you stayed in america for longer than you are supposed to (called a visa is it?)
Then you will be treated like an illeagal immigrant and be thrown out.

At 17 the only way to do it is with parental conscent i think (properly i'm talking about)
Anyway why would you want to go to america?

yes, it's easy to travel, but he'll become a bum, once he stays there
plus 17 is a dumb age, can't do shit with it

My guess is he'd eventually just get picked up for being a bum. He wouldn't likely be charged with anything, but he'd get taken to a shelter.

That doesn't work at all, if you are going to be staying here ilegally you want to do as few illegal things as possible. Like not beating up, raping, and robbing people, that would draw attention.
