Tron: Legacy Trailer

Looks awesome.
I've wanted a Tron made with today's tech for a long time.

The original was just way too corny for its own good but I also loved the look of everything.

Daft Punk is doing the soundtrack, so it looks like it'll be a pretty awesome experience. I will definitely be catching this one in 3D.

Yes, I was just going to post this while fapping away. Will certainly see this maybe even twice in IMAX 3D.

That was the dullest chase I've ever seen. Looked like they were doing 20 or something.

It feels weird to see lightcycles making smooth turns instead of the traditional 90 degrees.

I don't really like the design of the Lightrunner, it doesn't seem to follow the Lightcycle's streamlined design.

**** yeah this is amazing.

Also the lightcycle is cool as hell. Little things here and there. Like the lightcycle actually hooks onto the riders back so it looks like its growing out of his damn spine. And whenever it moves the person body kind of extends with it. Its sweet as hell.

Also im pretty sure that light cycles only had to move 90 degrees while on the game grid, and were free to make smooth turns if they got off of it.

I'm genuinely excited for this film. A tiny fraction of my mind is concerned that the blockbuster-ness of the movie is going to ruin the pure goodness of it, but I'm sure this sequel has been put into good hands and they will do the original justice.

I really like the artistic direction in this film. It looks a lot different than other CGI-based films; has a really dark cyberpunk feel, which I love.

If you are wondering who Daft Punk is, they made this song:

I also just realized the new design has the driver become the bike which is really cool:

More concept art: http://www.movieline.com/2009/07/comic-con-exclusive-tron-legacy-concept-art.php They need to make a real light cycle. :smoking:

Yeah the other thing is that there was an event too with a viral site and nobody really knew about it. The event was held in a real 80's arcade which brings some faint memories of my childhood when I was like 5:

They showed among other things, a full replica model of the new light cycle design:

The footage so far was just test footage for light cycles as well.
