Oh man, Downey looks funny as hell in that. I hope the rest of it is as good.

Newer, more action packed 3 amigos. Less funny remains to be seen. But Downey looks awesome.

this is gonna be the best comedy this summer...the viral sites are hilarilous too...i can't wait til they put up the fake trailers for some of these other fake movies within the film...

the satans alley trailer looks like its going to be completely ridiculous..
 
Eh, movie looks OK, nothing I'll spend $8.50 on a ticket for.
 
Apparently it's only so-so overall, kinda all over the place. Downey reportedly steals the show.
 
Looks hilarious.. I freaking loled at the kid throwing part.
 
definitely worth the 8.50 i paid to see it last night...so worth it that i'm paying to see it again tonight with my fiancee....it was that money...definitely got better performances out of baruchel and jackson than i expected...

and for anyone who thought tom cruise was batshit crazy...watch this film and have your opinion changed..

I just got back (like 30 minutes ago) from seeing this movie, it's actually pretty good. Tom Cruise is ****ing intense in this movie, lol.

It does the action REALLY well, imo, ****ing awesome action sequences, It was worth my $8, tbh.

Jack Black addicted to heroin and Robert Downey Jr. Black - LOL

One gripe: Why do they have M4s in Vietnam? Not enough moeny to get M16s? :p

tom cruise had some pretty awesome lines.
 
even jack black was suprisingly funny in this one...the lance bass joke was pretty funny too...obviously all that controversy didnt have an effect...ive seen the film twice and the theater was packed everytime..."the lead farmer" line was classic....wished we got more mcbride in it...but hell still plenty good enough for me.
 
Love Downey. Hate Stiller. Gonna be hard for me to decide whether I want to see this.
 
You should see it, it's actually pretty damn funny.
 
If you remember the viral vid for the "rain of madness" mockumentary on the making of tropic thunder...they actually went all the way with it...it's been released on itunes as a full feature...FOR FREE...i'm downloading it now...the clips that were on the site were great
 
i love that part where they were planning to kill the water buffalo, and Downey Jr. just screams something along the lines of "AINT NOBODY GONNA KILWAJDIPQ JW OQJWIOQJDSIJD KALJD!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!"
 
i gotta say this movie was better than i expected, but still wasnt anything special. It had its moments. I was laughing hard at the part where they think that black guy (the actual black guy) is gay and Black Jack offers him a blowjob if hes untied.

Also the part where the rich bald guy tells the captors to go **** his own face, the expression on the guys face was pricless.
 
I actually liked Tom Cruise in this movie.

"You want 100 million... wait, I have a better idea. How about I send you a hobo's dick cheese?"
 
THAT WAS TOM CRUISE???? :O HOLY SHIT i didnt notice that...omg im so stunned right now. When i look back at it i can see him...but i didnt realize it was him when i first saw it. I hate tom cruise but i loved that guy...i hate myself.

I could never imagine Tom Cruise playing such a character, how the hell did they chose him? Did the writers really have TOM CRUISE in mind for such a character? This is the first time i actually praise Tom Cruise for wonderful acting. Now il shot myself.

The carbine carried by Stiller is a Colt M653 as seen in Platoon, note the lack of a step cut in the barrel and A1 reciever, where as the M4 has the step cut and the A2 reciever, also the M4 is restricted to 3 round bursts while Stiller is clearly seen firing a sustained full-auto burst, which would not be possible with the M4. Both Jackson and Baruchel carry M16A1s.

Though its use is incorrect, as the M653 was not introduced until after the US withdrawal from Vietnam. As such its apperance in the film is probably a reference to Platoon (which used them because they were issued to the armed forces of the Philipines, where Platoon was filmed)
