Trouble with Steam forums

I am currently unable to access the forums on steampowered.com. This is the message that comes up when I click on I agree to these terms:

Forbidden

You don't have permission to access /forums/ on this server.
Apache/2.0.52 Server at forums.steampowered.com Port 80

Anyone else getting this? I'm wondering if it's localized or not.
On another note, my steam account works perfectly well, and logs in without any hitches.

I believe there was a minor SQL corruption in the forum database when the web servers went down. Shouldn't be long until they're back up.

I also checked over on HLFallout to see if there was anyone else having similar problems. Lucky for me, I'm not alone .

Hmmm, been down for at least 10hrs (that I know of). I doubt its a small problem.

When they were up and running, only minor problems were affecting the forums, they were still usable. The Guest posting was assured to us moderators by Bryn (Valve guy) that it was just an SQL corruption and it was easily fixed before the forums were taken off.

I can't say that I'm too upset. There seem to be a lot more flamers at the Steam forums than the PlanetHalfLife forums.

he's probably up to his ears in PHP and mySQL... it's strange for the forums to go down for this amount of time... I think it's something more than small problem... omg, imagine if they lost all the posts, all those FW's crying that they've lost their stars, ahahaa, you mods will have your work cut out...

Haha! It was bad enough when all those posts got purged.

Our web server host had a major network/power outage and when the power came back the database server didn't (they were testing a backup generator, guess what didn't work...). We are working with the vbulletin people to try to recover what we can of the database (and doing some long needed maintenance now we have this enforced downtime). They will be back ASAP
