Hi.

As english isn't my original learned language, I do have some questions about phrases and words used in True Romance.

1. In the room scene, where the four sicilians are loading their guns, the 'chubby' one with the shotgun and the dark glasses (that's 'Frankie' or 'Franco') says something like 'blabla a f**ckin fortune over here' - can anyone tell me what exactly he says and what he's talking about?

2. Same scene, the guy infront of the mirror (Marvin) says: 'You talkin to me, yo f**kin' whob, yo?' - is 'whob' some kind of insulting term for 'italian'? Later, one of the cops says 'That guy's a whob!' (Spelled right?)

Thanks for help :)

Yes, "wop" is a derogatory term for someone of Italian descent.

I would have to find the DVD and watch that scene again to answer the other question.

Ok, thank you :)

Hopefully you'll remember this thread when you're watching it some time later ;)

OOOOK sorry for diggin' out this old thread... BUT I have an idea about my 1st question: does he say "I'm loosin' a f**kin' fortune over here!"? Means, he is loosing a lot of money because of... 'this'?

Thanks for answers :D
