Anyone here remember Truxton? I remember it from when i was a small kid. Its for the Sega Genesis, and it was AWESOME!

Anyway, now when year has passed, i dont know where to get the game. Is there a way to download it and run it on a PC ? Maybe with an Emulator? I dont know how those works so can you guys explain to me?

I dont see this as piracy since the game is like 15 years old, doesnt sell anymore and is forgotten.

ive also heard that there is a Truxton 2 out there...

Not sure about the sequel, but the first Truxton game is easily obtained for emulation on MAME or Sega Genesis. From the 'usual' places ;) , not sure about the legalities, probably technically illegal, but it is doing no-one any harm.

I have downloaded the MAME emulator now, and installed it. How do i run it? There is no .exe file or anything in the start menu!

I highly doubt it's as awesome as you remember.

Only X-Com can do that.

Is the Sega or Arcade version better?
I played some of the Sega one, and the weapon system was kinda bland.

If we're talkin' about good 2d games on the Sega... what about Streets of Rage 2? Oooooh yeah.

Ha best 2d game ever?
*Points to Starcraft*
*Points to the fact that Starcraft still reaches up to 150,000+ plus and averages 30 - 40 thousand people at just about any givin time*
*Laughs*

Ok, i got Truxton to work on a Sega Genesis Emulator...but i cant get Truxton 2 to work. It uses the MAME Emulator but MAME is so ****ing retarded.....you have to go through DOS and shit...wtf...cant they just make an .EXE ???

I came here to say the same thing, but since you already did...
QFT!

Abe's Odyssee was great yeah, but thats cheating cos it had 3D accelerated elements :|

Anyway, nothing will ever surpass Sonic The Hedgehog in 2D Land :upstare:

Abe's Odyssee, Heart of Darkness and Another World are also freakin awesome.
