Trying to Get a Tour of Valve

Hi,

I have been trying to get a tour of Valve, and I've emailed Gabe twice but he isn't emailing me back. I sent him an email on the 12th and got no reply that week, so I sent it again on the 18th, and still haven't gotten a reply. I used the subject "Request for Tour". Could he have a filter blocking it? Other than that I don't know what could be happening. I don't have any filters and I sent an email to my main account from my hotmail account with the same subject and it came through just fine. I'm not sure what to do now and I wanted to see if anyone has any sugguestions.

They might just be to busy to be giving tours, at the moment. Or it might be that they don't have anything to be doing, so no one is there to give a tour..

I would say that once the gold announcement is made - go ahead and request again. I'm sure they'll be more than happy to accommodate you at that point.

He doesn't answer all emails that end up in his inbox.. and besides, you'll be wanting to contact Kellie Cosner for that sort of thing if I remember correctly..

now im no expert here but wouldn't be more likely that Valve couldn't give a tour after a gold annoucement since they'd be doing whatever necessary to prepare HL2 for shipment?..

Is Gabe in charge of Valve tours? I wonder if that is even in his job description. It seems like a completely unreasonable request if you ask me. No wonder you haven't gotten a reply.

Sorry to seem crude, it normally isn't my style, but emailing someone like Gabe for a tour just seems silly.

Gabe owns Valve, hell he can change his job description. He could come up to you and ask you to work for valve if he wanted.

It might have worked in the past cause a lot of people have gotten tours of Valve. Right now they might be just too busy.

You might have a much better chance once it goes gold, then again, they might all go on a long holiday once it does.

Well, I asked now because I figured I wouldn't be able to come for a few weeks anyway, and I emailed Gabe because thats who merc emailed. I will probably wait for a few days after the gold announcement to email again, if I don't get a reply by then.
