Hello
I have a Compaq Presario V2000 Notebook with an ATI Radeon Mobility Xpress 200 graphics driver. When I try to open Portal, before it can even finish loading the main menu, I get a distorted blue screen and then my computer reboots, a similar issue occurs after the first couple seconds of game play in Episode 2 and also with Team Fortress before I can get into a game. After the reboot I also get a message from windows saying that my system has recovered from a serious issue. Any help will be greatly appreciated. Attached is a screen shot of my system specs if anyone can point out any thing that would cause such an error.

thank you

ok update, i did a bunch of things to try to fix this, first i thought it might be to due to me updating my Catalyst Display Driver, since there were reported issues with a MOM.exe file that caused crashing, got rid of that and it didn't work/ Tried re-updating my video driver, updated my processor, and re-installed the orange box...that didn't work the only thing i was able to do is that for EP:2 i only get the blue screen and reboot if i look down the train after it loads. The game continues to run fine if i move down the train and out but if I move my mouse down slightly before getting to the bottom of the train..BAM! So maybe its an issue with the DVD installation or some new aspect about the graphics that my video card just can't handle...

I think i might have resolved the problem, I'm just gonna spend $800 and get a desktop, but hey thanks for the help (hint of sarcasm). ;)
