Trying to think of the title of this game...

Okay, I remember about 3 years ago, I was at a gamestop, and they had a cheapo bin with the original Counterstrike in it. I was looking at it, and I looked on the back and it was heavily advertising this other game that looked like a bizarre rip off of Half-Life, the graphics and style were very similar.

Basically, it had something to do with Cowboys, but they were post-apocalyptic cowboys mixed with industrial shit. They were on another planet, there were aliens and parasites, cyborgs, crap like that.

Basically Wild West meets futuristic sci-fi thing...

You could mod your weapons, which was pretty cool. It's probably worth the $2 or however much it'd be on ebay these days.

Yeah,sounds like Gunman Chronicles. A mod turned standalone game. Not a bad game. It even had better visuals than Half Life. Valve didn't bother supporting it after its release and not many people are aware of the game cause of it. Quite honestly, it sounds like Gears of War to me.
Well, sans the aliens, but who knows where the Locust came from.

Gunman Chronicles would have been the single greatest mod release ever. As a retail release it was below par. Makes me wonder whether the game would have been more fondly remembered if it hadn't been published.

Nice to hear that Rewolf survives as Streamline Studios. They do outsource work on Unreal Engine 3 stuff.
