Can't comment on it atm as it is very late here.

this tutorial is outdated, it uses the old sdk format Theres a newer and better technique on how to compile models, maps and textures.
 
Point me to the right direction, This is the only way I have found to do it so far.
 
true, but its good just to show the variable and what it does. Also, having it described will make sure the reader will get the end result, and not have problems along the way.
 
I just followed that link, it just shows you where the tools are, and not how to use them.
