Is there any good tut's out there for using the clipping tool? Im kinda gettin stuck.. and when i make cylinder holes in the wall with carving the geometry is a mess...

also, simple static entities like radio, patio chair from office/tides.. they dont load up when i compile they arent there.

ps- been to hl2werld.com and snarkpit.

This is the latest build compile.. I have two objects that arent showing up when i enter the level.. a static_light and a radio that is playing the music... though the music plays..

also ive made breakable glass, but i cant seem to get the env_cubemap to do its job, the glass looks dirty and not shiny.. i opened the properties of the env_cubemap and click pick on the glass.. no avail..

here is the latest readme of the compile

have you run buildcubemaps in the game console ? cubemaps ain´t built automatically but you need to execute the buildcubemaps command yourself. it is then stored in the bsp-file.

edit:
for the not appearing mdl objects change these to prop_physics_multiplayer.

edit 2:
select the two microbrushes by its numbers with go to brush number and delete it.

Also what is a leak and how do you fix it?

I am redoing the whole map because there is little light spots appearing where its dark, i think because of the layout of the walls..

I guess in simple terms you can describe your map as a big air-tight box that must remain air-tight to keep the air in and not leak into space (or "The Void"). A leak is just that, a leak into space.
Hammer has a tool to help you find leaks in your map. map>load pointfile.

Also you know you have a leak if it says ***Leaked*** in your compile window.
