Depends on your skin tone. If you're more dark, white will create a contrast that might look really good, but you'll STILL stand out which may or may not be good depending on the occasion. If you're very white and light skinned, a black tux always creates the best contrast and looks nicest.

i definately agree that on dark skin tones, white tuxes can look much better. If you are light skinned though you probably will want to stay away from the light colors or you will look like a ghost. Certain events can warrant a white tux but if youre light skinned, stick with black

EDIT: I wore that (sans the bald, unfortunately, but there were a lot of reasons for that...anyway) to my prom. I looked like ass, but that's because I'm an ugly mofo. My tux looked good though.
