tv out question

why when i'm trying to play a movie on my computer and watch it though my tv it doesn't show up? is there any solutions to this or does anyone know what's happening?

Have you gone into the control panel to activate the TV-out port? Plug the TV in and go to the control panel. You should see a tab where you can select the monitor configurations (clone, dual, etc.). That should get you started.

Once you connect it to your TV with the S-video or RCA then you may need to restart your PC so it senses it. I know my brother didn't get the option in his display properties to enable the display (Tv or Monitor) til he restarted his machine.

alright thanks i figured it out you had to activate the tv then make it the main one, which make the viewing size of the comp. moniter really small but made it so that video could be displayed on my tv. this is though the ati control panel.
