Greetings all,
I have not been all that impressed with nVidia's drivers as of late. While I know my hardware is old, it's not that old, to the point of it not being able to even run a simple game like F.E.A.R smoothly. Well with the last few drivers that nVidia has released, my ingame performance simply sucks.
Over the years there have only been a couple sites that edited official divers from ATI & nVidia & done it correctly. Omega Drivers was one, but they seem to be dying as time goes by.
While looking around last night, I came across a website called "The Z Project" After reading what they were about & reading some of the posts in the forums, I decided to give their edited drivers for my 6800 Ultra a try.
I noticed a HUGE performance boost in every game I tried. From Rainbow 6: Vegas to Gothic 3.
If you have an vNidia based video card, I strongly advise you to download their edited drivers. The latest driver they have edited is the 91.47. You will notice that this is a couple versions behind the most current driver released by nVidia. However, if you read in the forums, you will see why, for there is a good reason. I was so impressed, that I registered just so I could tell the dev(s) "Good Job!"
Video Cards Supported:
All Series 4xxx, 5xxx, 6xxx & 7xxx. (GeForce 4 4200 Ti on up to 7950 GTX)
