hi, my brother is building himself a new computer and has got most of his parts but needs some new RAM. at the moment he is between jobs :P and doesnt have alot of money. he wants 2 sticks of 256mb dual channel. ive been looking around and have found a pretrty good deal, im in england so newegg is of no use to me :(
i found this:

TwinMOS 512MB (2x256MB) DDR PC3200 for only £59.
i thought this was pretty cheap compared to other makes such as kingston etc.
but i was wondering if TwinMOS was a good make, so if anyone has any info or experiance with them then it would be appreciated, thanks in advance

TwinMOS is in general considered quite decent ram, but not overclockers ram.

One problem I have experienced is with my K8T MSI board for my athlon 64. It runs stable but the board didn't detect the settings and it wouldn't boot at default, so I had to use other ram for the initial boot. well.. the curse of the early adopters I guess. But I have never heard of this happening with the more established chipsets.

Hmm I would suggest, reading alot of tests and reviews and then make up your own mind... Unless someone in here already has ;o) I did so a year ago and found the RAM I have now the best buy cuz they where among the fastest and at the same time cheapest at the time :) I ended up with Samsung DDR333 NS6 wich is very good. They say on the outside that its Cashe Latency 2.5 but the BIOS finds them as CL2.0 by default :D

I think Samsung delivers parts to alot of the other big RAM producers.
