Two problems that I can't resolve myself.

I posted this first error on the CS forums and got no help.

Not surprising really.

Anyways so I worked past the first error, I just can't play Chateau. Whatever, not that great of a map anyways.

But I got this one today, and since it said it's an engine error then I figured it belongs here instead of on CS forums.

This is the first error. It's referring to the effect that happens when you break boards. I get the exact same error when playing HL2.

This is the new error. I get this whenever I try to connect to a server, any server.

These errors are completely breaking my game, a game I payed good money ($50 is hard to come by for me, dunno bout ya'll) for. I'd like any help possible with these problems.

I've already tryed re-installing both CS and HL2.

My system specs are:

Radeon 9600, latest drivers. (5.4 I believe)
DX 9c
2.1 GHz processor
768 MB RAM

Hmmm, your system specifications are very similar to mine and I remember having the same problems a few months back.
I don't remember what I did to temporarily fix the problem, but for a permanent fix, I think that I just reinstalled the game... that worked fine for me, but obviously not you.

Personally that's never happened to me before, but I think your "wood" file may be corrupt/missing. Use this to find out if all your files are good. If they aren't, Steam will remove all of them that aren’t and download and install them next time you start Steam up.

Nope, doesn't seem to be working.

This happens with the latest ATi drivers I think. Go back a set of drivers and that should solve the problem.

Get older ATI drivers, it should fix this problem. I advise the catalyst 5.1, because 4.12 are too slow and many textures won't work.
