Never cared much for any of his games. That does seem pretty strange to me though - trying to tie the different franchises into one universe at such a late stage.

Haven't they been doing that for a while now? I know that Vegas had a Splinter Cell agent in it, GRAW mentions them as well...

Always kinda figured them to be in the same universe, oh well.

Weird, Rainbow 6 is supposed to be a seperate universe to splinter cell/GRAW, well, from the novels anyway. Not that Clancy actually has any influence on the games anymore, but ho-hum.

Ah well, it'll be rubbish anyway.

Ubisoft purchased Clancy's name last year, so he has virtually nothing to do with games with his name on them anymore.

I don't care. I never really liked any of the TC games.
Besides, Tom Clancy's name is just being used as a marketing tool.
It extends to the books, too. A while back I picked up the "Tom Clancy's Splinter Cell" paperback, only to realize it was written by somebody entirely different.

I don't like Tom Clancys books all that much anyway, when I started rereading them this year I realized how much US nationalism you can find in them.
