ETA - Q3 2008 PC/360/PS3

#1 - The game looks better than Far Cry 1.
#2 - Ubisoft Montreal needs to find more people who can speak English better. That guy was hilarious, but not intentionally.
#3 - Some attempts at realism are cool, such as random weapon jamming. Some people hate that, but I love it. It doesn't look like it will happen often at all anyway, which is good. Throughout the entire video, the player's gun only jammed once. An example of bad realism is the ability to fix your car (after it having been shot by an automatic shotgun several times) by tightening a screw underneath the hood. They need to either to make the animations and process a bit more in depth, or scratch it entirely (which won't happen).

Overall, the game is looking good. I can definitely see myself buying it, as I'm a singleplayer fanboy.

Your thoughts?

His voice is so annoying, my ears are bleeding. It's like he's talking and screaming at the same time.

EDIT: Lol @ the crash.

Yeh its look pretty sweet, but he looked like he was playing with about 30 FPS lol.

There's massive screen tearing. Not really that I care though.

I don't even bother watching gameplay vids for this anymore, I know it'll be amazing

I forgot about the "pulling bullets out" thing. Why the **** did they change it ?!

they took out the bullet ripping? :O

it may not have been perfectly realistic but it was certainly a more imaginative way of healing instead of med packs or regenerating health.

Perhaps they should of given you a Witch Doctor Companion to heal you though magics'

Multiplayer or no? Usually just a rental for me If It doesn't have decent multiplayer.

Would be great if the pulling bullets out thing will be implemented not as a full-heal-yourself thing, but maybe just as a "reduce pain" ability (annoying red effects on the screen, slower movement and stuff like that).

I'm actually glad this isn't PC exclusive, since if it can run on a 360 it sure as hell can run better than Crysis. Unless it runs like ass on PC and consoles...

Am I the only person who thinks this looks like dung?

I don't care, it looks like dung.

The pulling bullets out thing is still in, it happens when you are critically wounded. You can see it happening a couple times in some of the Ubidays videos.

The console versions are apparently akin to the PC version running on medium-low settings. The PC is the lead development platform, though.

Hmm that may be the case but how many PCs out there can run the game on the highest settings at 60fps? Most people will be playing it around medium settings anyways. That demo looked like it was running at about 20fps. I'll go wherever I can get the smoothest version of the game without it looking too crappy.

Seriously? I doubt they'd want to make console people feel like they're playing a vastly inferior version. My plan was always if it ran crappy on PC to get it on PS3, but if true this changes everything.

I thought the whole point of a microphone was that you didn't have to yell any more?
