Chuck seems sooo god damn sloppy though...still i love the guy
Ortiz is passionate and after watching Ultimate Fighter 3...i've gained more a lot of respect for him.
But since this is about skill, i'd say Ortiz is more well-rounded.
But if Chuck gets that lucky shot, it's lights out for Ortiz.
Liddell by TKO in round 3 (3:59)
Round 3
Ortiz misses with leg kick to open the third. Liddell with an inside leg kick. The two now circling the center of the cage. Liddell with another vicious body shot. Ortiz with a botched takedown attempt. Ortiz on his back and Liddell will let him stand. Blood flowing again from above Ortiz's left eye. Liddell knocks him down again. Ortiz is covering up. Liddell lands rights and it's all over. Ortiz couldn't survive the second furious onslaught from Liddell. TKO win for "The Iceman."
Round 2
A touch of gloves to open round two. Ortiz with a right. The challenger has yet to mount an attempt to get Liddell to the mat. Leg kick from Ortiz, who appears willing to go out swinging. A pair of rights from Liddell. Ortiz seems to have recovered from the first-round assault. Ortiz goes for a takedown, but great sprawl from Liddell twarts it. Ortiz successful with another takedown; Chuck back up, though.
Liddell, 10-9.
Round 1
Both fighters tentative to open. Liddell looking to counter. Ortiz misses with a round-house kick. Ortiz not looking for takedowns yet. Liddell lands a straight right to the jaw. Ortiz connects with a right. Leg kick from Ortiz. Rare body shot from Liddell, who's patient and looking to connect from long range. Liddell backs up Ortiz with a combination. Overhand right from Liddell and Ortiz is cut above the left eye. Liddell letting his hands go more freely. Ortiz is stunned and down. Liddell dropping repeated bombs. Ortiz hurt badly and bleeding badly. Referee Mario Yamasaki gives Ortiz every chance to hang in there and the challenger survives. It was a big overhand right that knocked Ortiz down.
