UK Claims agencies - any recommendations?

I'm planning on making a claim for compensation for a traffic accident where I suffered a couple of injuries. There seem to be many many agencies that will take on a case, and I want to know if anyone can recommend or warn me away from any particular agencies, based on their own experience of the agencies.
UK only please.

I am a cyclist and as such don't have insurance for road accidents. My expectation is that compensation will be paid for from the driver's insurance, which I guess is what you may be talking about.

Thanks that is useful, I already have their list of suitable law firms in my locality, but as there are so many I need some basis to choose one.

Don't go to an ambulance-chaser, or these 'no win no fee' bullshitters.

Find a good local solicitor, and ask their advice. You want a firm thats well established.

Also, you might try asking on www.pistonheads.com forum, which has a massive userbase, is a UK website, and will provide some excellent advice. Look for me there!

Don't use anything that you've seen advertised on TV. Go somewhere local.

Local is best, look for a small solicitor company. Also, sue them for every penny.

I intend to, not because I bear them any malice or out of greed but because even a small amount of compensation would come in really handy. Thanks for the advice chaps, I will go round the most local solicitors near me.
