Ultra quick question

Okay, my friend wants to play FEAR, but he has a crap graphics card -ATI Radeon X300SE. He doesn't know much about PC's, neither do I, but will it able to run FEAR on low settings. The rest of his comp spec if fine, but his graphics card is shitty.

Any help will be appreciated.

I think you could get low settings if the rest of his PC is good enough.

Hmm, i think he should be able to get low settings from the game.
The SE cards really are bad though.
I'll check the card out...

With the nice specs he has, he should really invest in a videocard. Christmas maybe? (sorry to assume he celebrates christmas )

I tried the F.E.A.R. demo on my AMD 1900+, 512 MB RAM (shitty) and Geforce IV Ti4200 64 MB and it ran pretty well at low with no special-effects on.

Well budda is a branch from hindu. Hindu's have gods for everything. Budda's basically can take on any god though. I don't consider(and many people agree) Budda a religion but rather a set of rules to follow in life so when you die you become well..part of the great spirit. But in the Budda "rules" or "religion" there is no set god to worship.

He probably does celebrate christmas if most of the town does, because well...they can worship nothing or anything\everything.

i've got an x300 on mine and it ran decent with all low settings. I'm investing in another 512MB RAM and probably an X700 ATI in the next few months, looking ahead with some of the new possibilities coming out next year (UT 2006)

Im playing FEAR on a Radeon 9000 Pro, its the 128MB version. My cpu is a 2.4ghz P4 and i have 1 gig of PC2700 RAM. It runs on "Low" settings, but i switched the screen res to 800x600 from 640x480, and i switched it so my card rendered in DX8. I get an average of 45 FPS with a low of 30.

I swopped out my X300 just a couple of days before I downloaded F.E.A.R (the demo, that is), so tough luck. You shouldn't underestimate it though, it can handle BF2 at medium settings 1024*768, HL2 high settings (No AA/AF) 1280*1024.
