This is a comment more than anything.
I think it's crazy that Valve don't let me buy HL2 online, as I'm currently not in the country where my VISA "billing address" is.
I am from the UK, but working in Brussels (Belgium). Me and another 300,000+ folk are in Belgium from all around Europe; either with NATO, the EU\Commission - or working at one of the European headquarters of some big company (like me). I *don't have* and *don't want* a Belgian credit card - but when I try to enter my credit card details to buy HL2; I get hit with "in order to complete this purchase, you must live in the same country as your billing address".
Erm - WHY??!! Is this yet again a case of Amerocentric myopia?
Don't they think it's possible people might actually work and live in a different country than where they're "domiciled"?
Belgium...1h30mins in any direction and I'm either in Holland,France,Germany or Luxembourg...with the Eurostar and within 2 hours your in England!
Don't give me the "credit card fraud" bit; as I buy everything from airline tickets to flowers online, and can specify the "billing" address is not Belgium.
Grrrrrrrr - I really wanted to by HL2 Silver, but no chance.
