Hiya, basically someone enabled FTP on our ISS server but forgot to take off anonymous access. All of a sudden our disk space started dissapearing!

Anyway yesterday I found out we've had someone scan the server and have had people uploading rubbish to it.

I'm unable to delete the files and folders that were uploaded.
Looking at the folder in explorer it appears as a blank name

In the log file it appears as "+++++++++++"

I cannot rename it or delete it

the whole path to where the files are looks like:

/+++++++++++/+++prn.hsp.laserjet+++/++++com6++++++/+++++nul+++/++lpt8+++/upped+by+C********/

I've heard that using "com#" locks folders aswell?

another example of a path is:

/wwwroot/images/maps/pdf/+++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++ /+++++++++++++++++++com2/+++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++k/

how can i get rid of all this? it wont even let me delete the files that are within the folders.

We are running Windows server 2003 with IIS6

Your help & time is much appreciated and thanks in advance

cheers

monkey
